A New Me!
So many of you may realise I have been gone for quite some time now. I do apologise sincerely, however I do have lots to share with you, while bringing you Part Two of the #NicciAndSweetSerendipity series.
Recently I have encountered many changes in my life, physically, mentally, and emotionally, which forced me to put my love for blogging on hold for a while. Over the past couple months I have experienced many deaths, a new spark of love, hope for the future, hurt in its worst form, healing in relationships, the power of prayer and changing who I am now, for who I want to be later.
Its quite encouraging to know that life is constantly changing. The pain only lasts for a period of time, but so does that happiness. Which gives you the opportunity to embrace it in all its glory when it arrives.
You aren't the same individual you were a year ago, a month ago, a week ago. You're always growing. Experiences don't stop. That's life. You're given the chance to be a better person than you were the day before.
That gives me all the more reason to write this post on the first day of December. I believe December is a month of lights, summer and feasts. Time to make amends and tie loose ends. Finish off what you started and hope all your wishes come true. By being thankful for everything you encountered over the year and learning from it. I can guarantee it only made you a stronger person!
There's no better feeling than waking up every morning with sunshine in your soul. Many of you will know what that feels like. Some, maybe knew what that felt like. Maybe you're still in the old you and need to find yourself again to discover who you really are. The new you will be accepted by those who truly love and care for you.
Someone wise told me, "If someone truly loves and cares for you, they will tell you to do what is good for you, and not what makes you happy, because sometimes what makes you happy, is not always what's good for you"
I never really understood what that really meant until today... It also seems that the older you get, your Christmas list gets smaller and smaller and the things you really want for Christmas cannot be bought.
At the end of it all you have to be your own super hero, your own best friend and your own role model. I like to call it being in a relationship with yourself and God. God should be your main source of happiness, and that in life, should be enough.
So as we enter into December, I wish only the best things for you and our family this festive season. I pray you are safe wherever you go and that you will leave an imprint on ever soul you meet. I feel like these balloons signify a new birth of being a better person and when 2015 dawns on us, it will be the birth of a new, improved you, stronger than you ever were before!
