#NicciSummer14 || Event

Fashion, food and fabulous people! Nicci Boutiques Summer 14 Launch was (Ofcourse) nothing short of an unforgettable event.

The venue itself turned into a little girls wonderland, with amazing clothes & not forgetting Nicci's signature sweet table - this time with customised chocolates!

I always have such a blast when visiting Nicci Boutiques, the people there are always so nice! Its sometimes hard to form friendships with people who own businesses, who sometimes, although its hard for me to say, have their heads so high up in the clouds, forget theres people down here who got them to where they are. But the owners of Nicci Boutiques really make me feel like I'm part of the family. We all are part of their family. Which brings me to why I love wearing their amazing clothing. Not only is it gorgeous, but they always keep to trend and stay with whats new, no matter what age you are.

Their summer range offers big bright colours, draping dresses and the hottest pairs of heels straight off the catwalk! From summer corporate wear to the boldest jumpsuits!

And if thats nothing to be excited about, they've gone ONLINE!! I mean HELLO! who doesn't enjoy shopping from the comfort of their own home?!

To purchase their awesome summer range visit www.nicci.co.za

Nicci just knows how to end off a great day of shopping... What better way than a foot or neck massage! Thank you Mangwanani for the awesome service we received at the #NicciSummer14 Launch... You are definitely welcome again at the next one! (Nudge, nudge, wink, wink)

Stay tuned for an exclusive post, where I will be featuring the little mastermind behind the hand picked range you see at Nicci Boutique stores! I can't wait!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Until the next post...

#AUGUSTINEGold Launch || Event

In the City of Gold (Mind the pun) I attended a much anticipated event held by 4Elements Media, on Thursday the 26th of June at Elevate nightclub in Johannesburg... The countdown to this event on social media was completely insane, and left me with high expectations.

Did it meet my expectations? Ofcourse yes! The venue alone set a "HIGH" standard! I was so thrilled at the fashion statements that some people actually had the guts to pull off. Being a fashion blogger, I try not to limit myself into my interpretation of what I think fashion is. So, I went in with an open mind. It got me thinking quite a bit. I was really impressed at how 'being yourself' (in all sense of that phrase) is accepted in todays generation. I am a jeans and heels kinda girl, but pulling of some leather tights, patent boots, a beanie and a biker jacket actually felt good for once! And I didn't feel over or under dressed whatsoever!

That's why I am so excited these two brands are collaborating. Augustine can be seen on many South African catwalks including Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Gold Street Society has been the underground Kings in the fashion industry, and have definitely shown us things we've never seen before. Joining these two amazing brands proves that you can dress street style and still make a massive statement!

As always I love meeting new people, and this got me the opportunity to get to know a few familiar faces better. They had only good things to say about the event and that it never disappoints. I couldn't agree more. Vicky Crease Catering just put the golden cherry on the top! Its so hard to resist their delicious macaroons!

And, I did not leave empty handed... I was gifted an #AUGUSTINEGold beanie to add to my collection.

Miss Boss Couture Winter Preview Launch || Event

Greeted by glasses of champagne, Miss Boss Couture took their preview evening to an entirely different level. I was really excited to view their winter corporate wear. Its always so difficult to decide what to wear when its so cold outside. Especially while trying to stay fashionable but extremely warm at the same time.

One of my favourite things about this brand is that it is tailor made to fit your body, regardless of shape or size. Its always difficult to find things my size because I'm so tiny. They also offer a variety of signature pieces that can be paired with different outfits.

My highlight of this evening had to definitely be this pleather peplum belt. It can be worn with a dress or jeans to turn your favourite dress into a peplum dress of your favourite top into a peplum top. One of the best parts is that its pleather, so it gives any look a bit of an edge to it.

Owner of Miss Boss Couture, Stacy Tobin, has an eye for fashion. Who says Carrie Bradshaw's style was not affordable? This stunning blue ombre skirt was originally made in white, and then dip dyed to follow the latest fashion trend of ombre/sombre items. If I was living in New York it would be a must have.

So my look for the night was edgy corporate. I tried to go with neutral colours and then use this turquoise Miss Boss Couture corset to add colour to my outfit. (This corset was made for my cousins wedding. This was part of a two piece maid-of-honur dress. It's so versatile that I get to wear both pieces individually)

My Look:
Mat & May Hat
Zuri Earrings and Cuff
Miss Boss Couture Corset
Lee Cooper dyed jeans
Aldo shoes
Polo handbag
Mr Price Blazer
