#NicciAndSweetSerendipity Part Three || Look Post

Friday Blues

While the rest of the week behaved fairly well, the last thing you need is to feel like your friday isn't being good to you. Regardless of how you feel or what you're going through, fridays itself should just be an excuse to dress up and go out - even if its just for coffee at the mall. The festive season is upon us. The gym gets emptier & the mall gets fuller.

You may seem so mixed with emotions and stressed about tying loose ends, finishing projects, reaching goal weight or even the anticipation of not knowing what to expect in the new year. The least of your worries should be what to wear for the day. Which brings me to the timeless trend of denim. It can be worn anytime, anywhere, any season! Although many say never pair denim with denim, I think it is something of the past. Denim is comfortable and always makes you feel at your best, whether its with a pair of heels, boots or sneakers.

Leather and denim work really well together too. It gives a little biker edge to your look without it looking like you tried too hard.

I tend to over-think my over-thinking a lot. Ask my friends and family, they will tell you. I do that with almost everything! Simple board games, the things people say to me, the things I say to people, and yes, even my OOTD! Simple pair of  skinny jeans, fold them up, and wallah!! Its different but looks good!

I noticed I get complimented a lot when I just throw on something comfortable with a shirt I bought centuries ago but didn't use it because I didn't feel like it was on trend at the time. Hunny, not everything you wear needs to be on trend, and just like the man that should be in your life, people should love you regardless of the price tag.

Ive seen woman on countless occasions leave their house with every piece of jewellery they own. "Uhm... Do you need some clothes to go with those accessories??" (Some will get me, others, it may take a while). Lol. Accessories are important ladies but not always with everything you wear. A big tip is to keep your sparkly clothes and accessories for the night time.

#NicciAndSweetSerendipity Part Two || Look Post

A New Me!

So many of you may realise I have been gone for quite some time now. I do apologise sincerely, however I do have lots to share with you, while bringing you Part Two of the #NicciAndSweetSerendipity series.

Recently I have encountered many changes in my life, physically, mentally, and emotionally, which forced me to put my love for blogging on hold for a while. Over the past couple months I have experienced many deaths, a new spark of love, hope for the future, hurt in its worst form, healing in relationships, the power of prayer and changing who I am now, for who I want to be later.

Its quite encouraging to know that life is constantly changing. The pain only lasts for a period of time, but so does that happiness. Which gives you the opportunity to embrace it in all its glory when it arrives.
You aren't the same individual you were a year ago, a month ago, a week ago. You're always growing. Experiences don't stop. That's life. You're given the chance to be a better person than you were the day before.

That gives me all the more reason to write this post on the first day of December. I believe December is a month of lights, summer and feasts. Time to make amends and tie loose ends. Finish off what you started and hope all your wishes come true. By being thankful for everything you encountered over the year and learning from it. I can guarantee it only made you a stronger person!

There's no better feeling than waking up every morning with sunshine in your soul. Many of you will know what that feels like. Some, maybe knew what that felt like. Maybe you're still in the old you and need to find yourself again to discover who you really are. The new you will be accepted by those who truly love and care for you.

Someone wise told me, "If someone truly loves and cares for you, they will tell you to do what is good for you, and not what makes you happy, because sometimes what makes you happy, is not always what's good for you"

I never really understood what that really meant until today... It also seems that the older you get, your Christmas list gets smaller and smaller and the things you really want for Christmas cannot be bought.

At the end of it all you have to be your own super hero, your own best friend and your own role model. I like to call it being in a relationship with yourself and God. God should be your main source of happiness, and that in life, should be enough.

So as we enter into December, I wish only the best things for you and our family this festive season. I pray you are safe wherever you go and that you will leave an imprint on ever soul you meet. I feel like these balloons signify a new birth of being a better person and when 2015 dawns on us, it will be the birth of a new, improved you, stronger than you ever were before!
